Belarusian gymnast who won six gold medals at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics representing the Unified Team, which has not gotten any other gymnast in history.
Scherbo started practicing gymnastics at age 7 years, motivated by his mother as a childwas very restless and nervous, and she saw in the game a way to channel their energy.
Krisztina Egerszegi
Krisztina Egerszegi - (August 16, 1974 in Budapest). Hungarian swimmer back testing specialist and styles, and winner of seven Olympic medals (five of them gold) between the Games of Seoul 1988, Barcelona 1992 and Atlanta 1996. Holds the current world record of 200 meters backstroke with 2:06,62 achieved in 1991. In your country known by the diminutive of "Eger".


Kevin Young 
(September 16, 1966 in Los Angeles, California) is a retired Americanathlete specializing in the 400 m hurdles. In the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games goldmedal and set a new world record with 46.78 s.
Gail Devers
Recovered from a serious illness that left her in a wheelchair for more than two years and won the race in the 100 m dash.

For the first time any country boycotted the Olympics.
Mandela's South Africa was welcomed back on the International Scene and Germany competed as a unified country after the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989. Even Afghanistan participated in the Inaugural Ceremony, despite having no athlete ready to compete in the games.The opening ceremony was spectacular and it is estimated that on television was followed by 2,000 million people worldwide. Many people said that the opening ceremony of Barcelona was the best that had been cast at the time because was amazing.
